Horseradish
When I was small, I was told that horseradish puts hair on your chest, so I would eat some, make a face, fan my tongue, the cruel adults would laugh and then I would strip my shirt off and check to see if any had sprouted. “it takes more time than that kid” they would say, laughing.
25 years later, they’re still a bunch of liars.

Newsworthy
I guess I’m in the local papers (either one) this week. So just a heads up if you’re interested. The reporter lady seemed pretty cool too.

Some pics from the fair
We busted the camera out at the fair and took some sweet long exposure shots.

A random carnie walked up behind steph as she was checking out the pics and was all “that’s the best photo I’ve ever seen of the zipper”

the green streak is some kid walking through the long exposure pic holding a toy lightsabre. (there are actually a bunch of people in the photo who are just invisible due to movement.

Caught some neat sideways lightning as I was adjusting the camera (blue and green in the front is a couple kids with toy lightsabres play fighting)

yay Gravitron.

Tae Kwan Toe

Steph and I joined the new Taekwando classes that started up in town at the beginning of the month. Note the beet-red face of a guy in tip-top condition. The bottom of my big toe decided to opt-out today.

Vegreville Parade

More fine images like this one here.
http://www.vegreville.net/Parade/
I was trying to get good coverage of all the floats in the parade, from some different angles on mainstreet (so that it wasn’t the same buildings in the background in every pic.) I guess I looked moderately professional or something, lugging the DSLR because a bunch of folks asked me to take their pictures (assuming I was a reporter for the paper).

Did an update to the latest wordpress software. So, if something’s broken, I just haven’t noticed it yet.

Just doesn’t feel right.

(thanks to james for “bright”)
I kinda hope they respond with something like:
the path ahead is long
your journey is our reward
go take a haiku
