I don’t know about you guys, but I never really get quite THAT excited about birds or planes up in the sky. I mean, I like birds and planes and all… but as a general rule, I don’t exclaim about their existence, unless it’s an unusual bird. Even then, I’d probably say “Hey Check it out, a Burrowing Owl” rather than just a general “bird”. I think I’m going to start using “bird”.
Dean “LOOK! Up in the Sky! It’s a BIRD!”
You: “uh… yeah… it sure is.”
Dave: I’m sick of the term schadenfreude. It’s been bandied around a bit too much lately. I need to find out the opposite of that and make that the new meme.
Dean: Well from the 3 or four german words I know, I’m going to guess that’s “Guttenfreude”. But the german word I’ve been hearing too much lately is zeitgeist. So I’m going to just take the same and start saying “guttengeist” and raise everyone’s spirits. No one will have a “Schadentag” thanks to me. WHOA… Check this out. GuttenZeit or conversely Zeitgutten?
Good times.
Yeah… i’m pretty much a genius.
Dave?
dave?
hello?
I want one of those new tickle me elmos when they’re cheap just so I can strip all the skin off of it and just have a creepy laughing robot. Have you ever seen a skinned furby? It’s pretty rad.
And for those of you who haven’t seen the new one in action.
Omnigroup is selling Omniweb at a discounted price right now. So I bought a 5 person site license. I’ll let you know how it turns out. So far so good. I’m normally a Camino user, but now that they’ve finally instituted the spellchecker with the latest beta, it doesn’t work quite like I want it to. I don’t know how I feel about going to the hyper-capitalist mac only browser from the commie open-source mac only browser, but i’ll let you know who’s philosophy does the trick. It’s looking like Commies win in the long run, but in the immediate now the win goes to the Capitalists.
So I programmed a little gallery thing for the VegCams page. It sorts it by date uploaded, breaks it up into columns depending on the number I set (I might make that user definable eventually), paginates it after a certain number of images(again I might make that user definable), and then I added a cooler version of that lightbox javascript to it so that when you click on the thumbnail you can be all amazed at the graphical showcase.
Also, there’s a little upload link at the bottom of the page so that you can upload a new photo to your cam using the upload script I programmed earlier this week.
