Anyway, I’m just grumpy cause I live on the main drag here in Vegreville. Horns and hooting morons have worn my nerves. I think I’m gonna run away to BC for the week.

[image:500:l] When exactly did I become one of those people who posts pictures of thier pets on the internet? So, today I decided was going to do some yardwork (ie. mow the lawn and retreat back inside as fast as possible). I tossed on a beat-up holy ( hmm… ok, “holy” is not the word. What’s the term for something that has holes in it? or is “holy” like some big in-joke about the logic related holes in all things that one would call “holy”… I’m way to tired to go down this particular path of dissertation today…. so back to the story about my cut-up arm. ) I tossed on a beat-up holy tank-top (wife-beater if you prefer.) appropriate for the occasion. My bird, Switch, sure likes perching on my shoulder, regardless of if I’m wearing a nice cloth armor t-shirt. So yeah, over the course of the day’s perching, my shoulder got torn to shreds. (it’s much worse than the picture makes it look… I took some photos that show it off to it’s full extent, but those show the open bleeding acne wounds that said cockatiel chewed open, with her beak tipped red like a single fanged vampire, and really… just me describing that briefly is probably bad enough for today.
moral of the story? Wear clothes when carrying around a bird.

Unfortunately that’s the only picture of the kitten with the cockatiel (now named Switch incidentally.) because the kitten decided it was afraid of the bird.

Whenever people start crying about the oilers possibly leaving edmonton I’m going to bring this up, and suggest we’re better off without them.

THEN, I’m going to go one further and say, I don’t think we should allow edmontonians to be happy. They don’t riot when they’re pissed off about the possibility of 2-tiered healthcare or whatever, but when it’s Canada day, or their stupid freaking sports team wins a game, People get stabbed, windows get smashed cops get bottles thrown at them… hmm… bottles. Maybe we shouldn’t allow edmonton to drink either, she’s clearly not responsible enough.
